We were watching a television show one day several years ago and they were doing all kinds of tricks on skateboard longboards. Every since then our sons are in live with the sport. They enjoy the freeness of it as they put it. There are a group of them that just love skateboards and they are talented. Fortunately for us parents there is an online source for skateboarding gear. They have everything from complete boards to wheels, trucks or what ever you may need. When I was young we just had our boards and that was that but now I believe there is more of a sport to it. I know I never attempted any of the tricks that I see the skateboarders doing today. We have ramps built that they love to ramp off of. These ramps became necessary because we heard one of the boys say that if you can get on it you can ramp it! This brought up safety concerns so we decided some safe ramps were in order! They do get a lot of exercise while they do their skateboarding. Another positive thing that skateboarding does is it brings together people of all ages. Some want to watch and the rest want to learn.
