Engagement Party

After the great proposal of my husband on October, the engagement in December follows. But before the engagement party happened, he officially asked my parents and siblings  first in our house to permit him in December's engagement in front of my entire family and his family as well. When doing the proposal also to my parents my husband was shivering. He's like a jerk, and his hands and lips were trembling while talking to my father who was drunk then..hehe..I guess, he's afraid to my father, because he's anticipating that my father will not give him a permission to take my hands, and be engage with me. It was so funny, seeing him trembling, but I told him to relax because my father was just testing him if his really sincere. Then afterwards, my father just smiled and my mother came in and joined them in discussing the topic. My parents clearly told him that they accepted and approved his proposal to them and allowing him to do the proposal in front of my families and relatives. That moment the precise engagement date was scheduled.

When December came, families and friends of both parties were so excited to witness the engagement of the two people who were in love.. and that was us of course.:)...A lot of relatives came by because, the month of December is usually the reunion month for the family. It is only during Christmas time were the family get together and enjoy one another. I prepared more on the sweet and delicious desserts, so that my in-laws could try one of my delicious experiments.:)...Too many foods and different dishes were on the table, aside from the "lechon" that my husband's family had ordered. I didn't expect then, that it would be a great party and occasion for all of us. Everybody enjoyed the food especially the said lechon and of course the seafood that his family brought. All of the seafood were first class and very luscious. It came all over from Surigao, too far, but everybody was so happy with those delicious crabs, shells, fish etc. 

At around 7pm both parties talked about setting the date,time, place of the ceremony, venue of the reception, gowns/barongs, food in the house, papers to be submitted, priest,church, invitations, all in all both parties were talking about the preparation. In the midst of exchanging of ideas and thoughts we come up into a church wedding, sunny point as the venue of the reception since we were both working then so we don't have the time to prepare things and we knew that sunny point will provide everything though price and services were quite high. But it's okay for us as long as it could give us a nice and a memorable event in our life since it is our wedding event. We also set the date in March 20,2010 at 3:30 pm @Sacred Heart Parish with father Jess as our conducting priest. And the other important preparations were to follow. After that enjoyable night of conversations at 10:00 pm they went back to their home to spend their Christmas eve there. But before parting ways, everyone had put a smile on their faces since both parties have come to be acquainted with each other. And my husband and I also were so very happy, words aren't enough to express our gratitude and how we felt to everyone who supported us. Thank you everyone.
