The Proposal

He proposed marriage to me by the month of October.It was a one part of our marriage life that I couldn't forget. It was such a memorable event for me, wherein, of course my first time to receive my engagement ring coming from my boyfriend. It was such a wonderful feeling to experience such things. To elaborate it further, here's what had happened.

One night this guy just invited me to go out and have dinner with him. So, I said yes to him because I wanted to go out with him also. We ate somewhere in the restaurant of one of the super malls here in Davao. After that fabulous dinner, he asked me to watch movie in the cinema with him. Since he was my boyfriend so without any second thought I watched movie together with him. There, I had no idea that he would give me that ring in my hand while watching the movie. What an experience I didn't expected that one though. While watching the movie he fit the ring on me and ask me to marry him. Though we're in that awkward position I answered him back with a "yes" as might be expected. I assumed then that all the movie watchers nearby our bench have heard us so it added to the awkwardness of the situation. It's like I'm in a hot sit at that time. And the funny thing there was that, the ring didn't fit in my ring finger...lol.. So after we finished watching the movie we went back to the jewelry shop where he bought the ring and the sales lady just change a new ring that fits for me..funny experience we had.:)...But it's ok, he let me chose my favorite design of my ring, so I chose a simple but beautiful one. After I got the perfect size of that ring for my finger I asked the ladies, how much it cost? but the ladies just answered  "secret" to me. I asked once again , how much it cost, they once again smiled back to me, while looking at my husband to be...very wise man:)...After that, we went out of that jewelry shop and he accompanied me to our house.

When I woke up first thing in the morning I told my parents that me and my husband to be, will getting married soon. They were of course in a shocked reaction because of that big revelation but at the same time happy for me because their daughter will be settling down with a nice guy. They knew for sure that my husband will take good care of me no matter what. When my family heard about it, they were so excited and happy for me as well. I told my family that on December he will be asking my parents permission to marry him. That's the time he's going to ask for my hand to my parents and family..December 25,2009 to be exact, who can forget this date, it's also the birthday of Jesus. Christmas day!
