New Wind Technology

Harvesting the wind has been a green option for many years.

And in these days of rising energy prices, mainly due to the costs of running the plants that produce our electricity, finding new ways of harvesting the already existing resources that can produce power has opened a whole new world.

One such company, Sauer Energy, has come up with a unique way of capturing the wind.

They still use a wind turbine, but it not the kind we are all familiar with.

It has a vertical design which takes up a lot less room than the traditional turbines.

And their smaller size means they are more affordable to the average consumer.

These residential Wind Chargers save the users money as well as giving back to the planet - using an already existing resource that doesn't produce harmful effects on the environment..

There is no noise pollution from these turbines which is constant complaint with the traditional ones.

And then there is the issue of the birds, which I have a special affection for.  Those large blades on the traditional turbines do so much harm to them.

The design of the vertical-axis wind turbine (VAWT) makes use of a small space and that keeps our feathered friends safer.

I love to read about all these new alternative energy technologies. They are the way of the future, giving us all the opportunity to help ourselves while helping our planet.
